How It Works
The exchange is a reciprocal program. You host an Italian student, then visit their family in Alba.
Apply
Submit your application, essay, and recommendations during the open application period.
Get Selected
The selection committee reviews applications, conducts interviews, and chooses ambassadors.
Prepare
Student and parent participate in planning and preparation meetings from June to March.
Host
Welcome your Italian exchange sibling to Medford for two weeks in the fall.
Travel
Visit Alba in the spring for two unforgettable weeks with your Italian family.
Stay Connected
Maintain lifelong friendships that span generations and continents.
What's Included
Students participate in group fundraising to help pay for the cost of the trip to Italy. Fundraising usually covers 80 - 100% of the cost of the trip, which was about $2,700 in 2025.
